Welcome to the 16th International Summer School on Immunology
IMMUNE SYSTEM: GENES, RECEPTORS AND REGULATION
September 3-11, 2011
Hvar, Croatia
The summer school gives students a deeper insight into the basic knowledge and novel development of immunology.
Each teacher gives two lectures, one is a more general talk focusing on the state-of-art of a particular scientific field and the second lecture specializes on the current research project of her/his laboratory.
The venue of this year's Summer School is the Sirena Hotel on the Island of Hvar, Croatia.
The lectures take place in the morning from 9 to 12:30 and in the late afternoon from 5 to 8:30. The afternoons are free for discussions, swimming and other sport activities. At 4:00 two groups of students meet with a teacher for discussions somewhere outside under the woods or at the beach.
On two evenings during the meeting there will be a poster session where the students can present and discuss their own work. There will be a farewell party on the last day.
This course is organized in such a way as to allow maximal interactions of the students between each other and with the faculty. The faculty is therefore asked to stay in Hvar throughout the meeting.
